2002 Grand Prix Web Site
Back in
1999 I got my first Grand Prix GTP. First year car
remained stock but in 2000 all hell broke lose and beast
in this family sedan came alive. Spending almost every
Friday at the track testing and tuning to get it to run
faster. In 2000 it ran best time of 13.2 @ 101 with very
good traction and in 2001 car ran 12.8 @ 106 with
nitrous and decent traction. Had a lot of fun but at end
of the year car started having problems together with
blowing tranny and few other parts, this is when I
decided to get another one.
Before end of 2001 I acquired Redfire 2002 4dr GTP, not
even month passed by and I already started moding :) On
June 7, 2002 I made my first 12 second pass, 12.974 @
110.04 with crappy traction of 2.180. This makes it my
second GTP in 12 second range :) .... sweet .... I
continued trying different combinations of
modifications. I managed to get 12.71@105 and
12.67@109 with nitrous.
In 2005 I wanted to try something different, unique,
something with huge potential. I decided to remove
factory Supercharger and replace it with
CarTuning Turbo System. That is when real fun
started... :) 12.0@115 best 1/4 track time
so far @ dyno car pulled 448 wheel horse power with 535
lb/tq in early 2006. hp numbers and 1/4 mile time
should be better now with stuff I added in 2006 and
2007.

2008 update. Lots changed since last time i updated this site. Blew couple of turbos and couple of engines but car is running stronger then ever. With new personal best of 11.55@121
